Internettconnection speed

Hi I got one airties 4920 and a cable connecting to my pc. From that I get 860mb/s to my pc. The problem is I only get 210 mb/s when I run a internett speed test. Then when im starting my online- games like dota 2 it dropped to 8/9 mb/s what is the reason for that and how to fix it? Sometimes it works well to stream and play games and often not. It came of a debug when I analysed the internett a IP-adresse conflict, with my dormitory host, has this anything to do with it? I appretiate any suggestions that may can help.

How are you measuring the bandwidth? To a specific server? Or to your router?

I am measuring the bandwith to my own ip-adress from another server on a website which is meant to measure it.

Well if you're the only one on that router and nothing else changes (server connection doesn't slow down) then it looks like your router might be too weak to handle the gaming. Does it have in-built firewall? Which ports are utilized by the game? You can try disabling any firewall temporarily to see if it improves things.
