Hello,
I have posted my build here before, but I have made lots of changes since, so I decided to write a new post.
My work is more of generalist between, although leaning more towards 2D (Editing, VFX Compositing) with occasional 3D (Lighting, Rendering). My number one priority is computer that would give me quick iteration for 2D VFX work, so good video playback, working with 4K Footage, EXR files.
I also do 3D, but mostly in Lighting/Rendering side of things, I don't do modelling, but I do use a lot of 3D assets and render a lot.
My main softwares are:
2D: The Foundry's NukeX, Adobe suite (primarily After Effects, Photoshop), Davinci Ressolve
3D: Autodesk Maya(+Redshift), Unreal Engine, Substance, Blender.
My budget is around ~ USD $1500-2000
here's my current build:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6Ghz Up To 4.4Ghz Cache 32MB 65W AM4 [Box] - 8 Core - With AMD Wraith Prism Cooler
VGA: Asus GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 - TUF Gaming OC
Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX (AM4, AMD Promontory B450, DDR4, USB3.2, SATA3)
RAM: ADATA DDR4 XPG SPECTRIX D41 GREY PC24000 3000MHz 32GB (2X16GB) Dual Channel - RGB
PSU: ADATA XPG CORE REACTOR 750G - 750W Full Modular 80+ Gold Certified
SSD: Samsung SSD 970 EVO PLUS M.2 500GB
HDD: Toshiba 1TB SATA3 7200RPM - P300 Series
Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Slim 1x Silent Wings 3 120mm PWM fan
Casing: Antec NX800 - ATX GAMING CASE
Monitor: LG 24" LED 24MK430H-B IPS
i live in southeast asia, so I made this build based on what is currently available in my local market/vendor.
when converted from to USD this build is around ~$2000. Which is fine, but I'd love it if i could squash the price a bit more without losing too much performance
Let me know what you think. Thank you!
