EPYC 8-channel build

I purchased a Gigabyte MZ72-HB2 dual processor motherboard for my next (and last for a VERY long time!) build. I've purchased (2) AMD EPYC 7F52 16 core processors and would like advise as to whether to use 1-rank or dual-rank memory. My plan is to install 16 sticks of 16 GB DDR4 ECC as each processor supports 8-channel configuration.

With these many memory channels, the rank shouldn’t matter as much. I’d just focus on capacities and at this scale
