Hey Alex! I recently found your site and am amazed by all the incredible content but also a little overwhelmed! This is all so very complicated haha. I am a game developer and Computer Science student, and I need the PC for Blender and UE5 as my laptop is struggling to handle it at times. I also will likely be using ZBrush soon, I don't know if that changes things or not. I think your site will be the core database of my PC building, and for that I am very grateful. This really is amazing!

I'm a Marketing/Motion Designer, currently transitioning to 3D Animation. I'm currently learning Blender and Cinema 4D, I also hope to go into Game Design in the nearest future, so I'll be taking classes on Unity and Unreal Engine soon as well.

Hi everyone' .i have been building pc 20 years ago as part of my job then i changed career and the last pc i build was a mini pc but i need something with dedicated gpu so im building from scratch. But only interested on linux . So far the pc is up and running. Juzt need a proper gpu card but tokk me 3 day to get it going because of one component the front usb c port.

Hi guys!
I use my pc for everything from video editing in premiere, after effects, to getting my butt whooped in Dayz. I'm a full time track coach and am also big into car mods.

Here's my current build. I took a rusted out Silvertone record player and made a custom chasis and such to fit in it. The tuning dial does full rgb, but i didnt love the look so i run it in a classic orange-yellow. The part where the record player arm is mounted is just some plexiglass that I fit a couple gaskets to, and then superglued the original arm onto. I'm currently working on a plexiglass lid so that I can close it when needed and to keep dust out.

I worked as a penciller and inker for Marvel, DC and Image comics in the mid 1990's to early 2000's. I have worked on titles such as The Uncanny X-Men, Thunderbolts, The Flash, Gen-13 and too many others to name.
I live in Florida right down the road from Disney World and my wife and I go to the parks several times a month. You have to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Avatar: Flight of Passage when you visit! I put up a post in the new build section as I am looking to invest in my future career and I can't keep waiting several minutes for my Redshift preview to render clearly enough to be helpful.

I've studied 3D animation and VFX, but that was 20 years ago...
So I guess I'm an old timer (those pesky grey hairs should have given me a clue...).

Hello everybody.

My name is Andrzej but I mostly go by AJ as it is much easier to spell and pronounce.

I am a mechanical design engineer using Solidworks at work and in my spare time I fly and develop in X-Plane flight simulator.
I love modeling in Blender (majority of it for X-Plane).
Occasionally I do some simple video editing.
Once in a while, most likely every 2-3 years I build a new PC and sell the "oldest" one losing a lot of money but I just can not help not to enjoy the trill when building a new PC. (I am sure you understand)

I just joined but I see from replies I have read that it is a nice place to get a good advice and nice read.

Hi everyone! My name is Daniel, I'm a 2D concept artist looking to improve his work with references via 3D software. My current laptop is way too old to run anything 3D tho - heck it's pretty slow in general at this point- so I figured it was time to invest in a decent desktop setup that could help me with my work. Mainly looking for something that can run Unreal Engine and Blender smoothly. I'm a student working part-time though, so my budget is a bit limited (preferably around/under 1.5k). Anyway, I'm pretty new to researching specs and computers so finding this website was really cool because i could tell you put a lot of work and care into compiling information for people like me! I really appreciate any help I can get and I admire the time you put into this website and forum, Alex!
